  • EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE.

    Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation.

    Supported by his brilliant, loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies, and steps out of the darkness into the spotlight.

    Sixteen: the edge of possibility. Time to make your dreams come true.

    We are so excited we have be granted the rights to this contempoary musical. It will be a fantastic challege for our senior members to acomplish. We have adapted the musical to make sure there is a part for everyone so no one should panic about the dance element, we will do our best to cater for all and play to everyones strengths.

    So what do the next few months look like?
    January - Welcome Back, Musical theatre basics, Learn about "everybodys talking about jamie, and learn about audition prep.

    Feburary - AUDITIONS for everybodys talking about jamie. CASTING. Start to learn content for the show which will then be featured in our PROMO VIDEO.

    March - July Rehearsals & The show itself. (The show week is yet tbc, However; we should know by the end of the week. We aim to stick to the orginal July Dates)

  • AUDITION INFORMATION
    Audition Date for PRINCIPAL, SUPPORTING ROLES & JAMIE'S CLASS MATES: SUNDAY 4TH FEBURARY. Forum Theatre Romiley STUDIO2

    PRICPAL ROLES - 1:30PM
    JAMIE'S NAMED CLASS MATES (including Dean & PRITTI) 3PM
    SUPPORTING ROLES 4:30pm

    CALL BACKS SHALL BE IN CLASS TIME IF NEEDED.
    Please read carefully through the below information regading all roles and what is expected during the auditons.

  • Audition additional information & Resources

    ALL MT 3(YEAR 8+) 4 & 5 will take in "Everybody's talking about Jamie". ENSEMBLE- Although all of the mentioned members will be involved, they will still take part in a workshop audition in class time to determine which ensemble they shall be a part of. These include - The named pupil's who must be very strong dancers, can sing and act(LISTED BELOW). Unnamed pupils who shall still take part in various numbers, sing and act. Main ensemble who shall take part in various scenes as various characters and sing and act throughout with some movement. However there is the opportunity to audition for principal roles and supporting roles, SEE BELOW.

  • CASTING
    After the Audition, there will be much deliberation. Those who we feel we need to see again will be contacted regarding the callbacks; these will take place as stated above. As ever, we would love to cast everyone in their preferred role, but this is simply impossible. However, we will make sure everyone is in a role we believe will allow them to shine and make their own whilst being a part of a full company achievement." There are no small parts" each member will be a vauable asset to making this an incredible production along side the production team.
