    This course will focus on building awareness of how data is used in Idaho industries. It will help them define data science and show connections between the Idaho Content Standards for Mathematics and data science. It will also provide teaching strategies and resources. 
  • Course Objectives:

    • Build knowledge about how data is used in Idaho industries and discuss ways that data may be used in high school math courses.
    • Explore “Data Science” and what a high school Data Science course may look like.
    • Identify connections between potential Data Science course content and the Idaho Content Standards for Mathematics.
    • Share and identify sources of rich, deep high school Data Science resources, both content and instructional methods.
