ELIGIBILITY: The Harrison Central School District will provide transportation for the following residents:
- Kindergarten children (attaining age 5 on or before December 31 of the school year) and children in
grades K-5 who reside no less than one-half (1/2) mile from the school they legally attend.
- Children in grades 6-12 who reside no less than one mile from the school they legally attend.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Complete a separate application for each child and for each school to which he/she applies.
- Completed applications must be submitted ANNUALLY to the Transportation Department.
- Completed applications must be received by April 1, 2024.
- First time applicants must provide 1 proof of birth and 3 proofs of residency as noted below.
- Incomplete applications will be returned to the sender unconsidered
ACCEPTABLE PROOFS OF RESIDENCY:
First time applicants must provide three (3) forms of proof of residency:
If you are a renter within the district please provide the following:
1. A signed lease or a signed and notarized landlord affidavit (available on our website)
2. Two (2) utility bills. Utility bills include electric, telephone, and cable bills
If you own and reside in a home within the district, please provide the following:
1. Tax bill or mortgage statement
2. Two (2) utility bills. Utility bills include electric, telephone, and cable bills
PLEASE NOTE: A transportation request submitted under Education Law (§3635) is valid only for transportation to and from the school named on this form. Incomplete applications will be returned to the sender unconsidered.
