In order to be considered to foster, you must be:

21 years or age or older.
Have identification showing your present address.
Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord.
Have the knowledge and be willing and able to spend the time and money necessary to provide food, training, treatment, and proper care for a YARF Rescued Animal.

Are you willing to follow all Isolation Protocol and accommodate Proper Introduction Practices of foster pets by keeping animals separate and safe until you know they will behave together?

Are you willing and able to provide necessary training should the animal have behavioral problems (mandatory for puppies or large dogs)?

Understanding that the background on most foster animals is unknown and it is typical that they have behavioral or medical issues, are you committed to fostering the pet for the duration until the pet is adopted?
Are you prepared to take your foster home at this time (You already have your home and yard clear and safe for the animal you are applying to foster. We will provide crate, food collar and leash if applicable)?

Foster Agreement

In consideration of the promises and statements to follow herein, Yoga Animals Rescue Foundation (YARF/Rescuer) and the undersigned (Foster), having read and in full understanding, do willingly enter this Agreement with the intent to be legally bound by this Agreement and hereby consent and agree to the following:The Foster hereby understands, promises, and agrees, whereupon receiving the animal to indemnify, forever release, discharge and hold harmless Rescuer from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, duties, claims and demands resulting from any action or omission arising out of any cause whatsoever and without limitation.

As a foster care provider for YARF, I agree and submit to the following foster care conditions and guidelines:
To accept and consider the animal as a household companion, not as an outside pet, and to provide the pet with a reasonable amount of time to adjust to new surroundings.

To observe the foster pet daily for signs of disease or injury and to immediately notify YARF in the event of such signs or symptoms.

Upon notice of any illness, I agree to quarantine the pet from all others and follow medical procedures as outlined on page 92 of State rules & regulations.

To provide emergency veterinary care, in extreme cases when necessary, by an approved vet only and with prior notification to YARF.

To safeguard the pet from loss or mishap. This includes not allowing the pet to run at large, be unsupervised or expose it to dangerous conditions or aggressive animals. Importantly, not to take puppies less than 6 months of age to dog parks or other public and potentially contaminated areas.

NOT to relinquish the pet to another person, relative, rescue group, shelter or any medical or experimental laboratory or similar organization.

To immediately notify YARF in the event that an animal goes missing and to enact ALL recovery measures possible (hanging flyers, driving around, asking neighbors...) until the pet has been found.

If there is a complaint or concern about an animal’s condition, I agree to allow an YARF representative access my home, yard, or premises to check the welfare of the animal in my possession.

ALL FOSTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO KNOW:
- Animals in foster care are to be moved or placed ONLY by an authorized iResQRR representative. While foster input is important and considered on applicants, final applicant approval will be decided ONLY by an authorized YARF representative.
- Foster homes are responsible and liable for all actions of pets and foster animals in their care at all times, so make sure you are being responsible with animals at all times and that fostered animals are NEVER out of your sight without being properly secured.
- Foster understands and agrees to adhere to all relevant zoning and animal control codes and/or ordinances, for local, county and state.
- If you become unable to foster for any reason, you, as the Foster, agree to keep the animal in your care, properly secured and cared for until such time that another, properly qualified Foster home can be found.
- While YARF provides for all necessary medical care and expenses related to its animals, this is always with prior approval, through services provided by an approved Rescue Veterinarian and scheduled by a YARF representative, and must be for rescue related services. Should the animal become sick or injured by acts or inaction of the foster, all related expenses will be the responsibility of the foster.
Should I decide to permanently adopt my foster animal, I will notify YARF and upon approval, I will follow the established adoption procedures.

I understand that the animals have been or will be spay/neutered and vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian and that his/her health is represented as accurately as is known by the rescue, but that health issues may develop and behavioral issues could be present, therefore no other representations are made as to the health and temperament or disposition of the animal. I am aware that by signing this agreement, I am agreeing to provide what is needed for the health and safety of any Yoga Animals Rescue Foundation (YARF) animal in my care. I further agree to assume all responsibility for the foster animal(s) in my care at all times, while on or off my premises. I also agree to assume all liability for the animal while I foster it for YARF. I fully understand and agree to assume all risks involved in any and all duties that I perform for YARF in my volunteer/foster capacity and I agree to hold YARF harmless for any injury(s) that I, my family or my personal animals might sustain during the course of my volunteer/foster duties.This waiver does include myself, all of my family members and descendants forever from seeking any legal action whatsoever against YARF or its Representatives. I also understand that when I take a break from fostering or resign as a foster to return any kennel/crate or other equipment and unused supplies provided to me by YARF.
