Join me for a one-day workshop where I'll guide you through the essentials of plein air watercolor painting. Learn how to efficiently pack your materials, select compelling subjects, and simplify complex scenes for your artwork.

Capture the true essence of your subjects by painting outdoors, where the natural perspective reigns supreme over the limitations of a camera lens. We'll start in my backyard, where you'll have access to a variety of inspiring scenes to paint.

This workshop is perfect for beginners eager to explore the joys of watercolor painting. As an experienced watercolorist, I'll share straightforward techniques to kickstart your artistic journey.

While our focus will be on landscapes, the principles we cover are applicable across all subjects. Whether you're intrigued by trees, buildings, or any other elements of the natural world, this workshop will equip you with the skills to bring them to life on paper.

If you need supplies, I can provide them for an additional $25. Otherwise, feel free to bring your own materials. Don't miss out on this opportunity to delve into the world of plein air watercolor painting!

Supply List:

• Paint - Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Rose Madder, Alizarin Crimson, Phthalo Blue (red shade), and Cerulean or Cobalt blue
• Brushes - #12 and #5 round, 3/4-1 inch flat brush
• Paper - A small watercolour block works best for plein air, any size will work
• Palette - A small travel palette works best, or even plastic plates will work.
• Towel - I paint on a towel so you want one that is bigger than 11x15 inches.
• Water Container - I use small plastic food containers
• Folding travel chair for comfort
