Preschool Advantage opens the doors to preschool and unlocks the possibilities beyond.

Preschool Advantage funds half-day preschool tuition for 3- and 4-year-old children whose families find it challenging to cover the high cost of preschool. Funding for our Full Day 4’s program will be available to a limited number of eligible 4-year-olds. The program covers up to $8,000 of tuition for a full-school-day (up to 8 hours). Most of the families we serve earn less than $80,000 per year, but we consider each family on anindividual basis. Preschool Advantage is not a school. We partner with 27 preschools in Morris and Somerset Counties. Each school reserves a limited number of spaces for children funded by Preschool Advantage. A list of our partner schools and their hours can be found on our website.

Applications are accepted beginning in January and reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Please submit your application as early as possible to increase your chances of funding.

Once your complete application is reviewed, the office will contact you to schedule a time to meet so we can learn more about each other and answer any questions you may have.

All information shared with Preschool Advantage is kept confidential and is never shared with other organizations or agencies. Kindly complete each section of this application as fully as possible. The information you share with us will help us develop a better understanding of your situation.

School Preference
Preschool Advantage is not a school. Preschool Advantage funds half-day preschool tuition for 3-and-4-year-olds. Funding is available for a full-school-day (up to 8 hours) for eligible 4-year-olds.

If you are in need of hours beyond those funded by Preschool Advantage, you are responsible for arranging the payment for those additional hours.

Review the list of our Partner Preschools to determine which are the best fit for your family. We encourage you to list three schools, as space is limited at each school. Parent/Guardian Agreement Form
Please read these Preschool Advantage conditions. If you agree to them, please sign at the bottom of the page.

1. Preschool Advantage funds 3- and 4-year-olds from September to June. When your child reaches 5 years old or qualifies for public Pre-K or Kindergarten, he or she will no longer qualify for Preschool Advantage financial aid.

2. If you receive funding from another program, you must notify the Preschool Advantage office immediately as your child may no longer be eligible for funding from Preschool Advantage.

3. If you choose to enroll your child in hours beyond those funded by Preschool Advantage, you are responsible for arranging the payment of those additional hours.

4. You are responsible for getting your child to school every day.

5. You are expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the school your child attends.

6. We expect your child to attend school regularly, except for illness. If your child will be absent for more than two weeks at a time, you must notify the Preschool Advantage office.

7. You must sign a disclaimer form releasing Preschool Advantage from any liability. (next page)

8. Upon acceptance you agree to pay a $75 registration fee to Preschool Advantage before your child begins school.

9. Funding for the Full Day 4's program is limited and will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

I understand and agree that failure to comply with these conditions may result in the removal of Preschool Advantage's financial aid for my child. Letter of Support

The next step in the application process is the Letter of Support. It is to be completed by an individual who is familiar with your family but who is not a relative. The Letter of Support form can be completed by your child’s current teacher, babysitter, care giver, therapist, social worker, clergy, doctor, or anyone else who knows your family and your child. Once that form is submitted, it will be attached to your application.

The form is available on our website on the “How Do I Apply?” page. After clicking “Submit” please proceed to our “How Do I Apply” page on our website to access the Letter of Support. If the Letter of Support form is not submitted, your application may be considered incomplete.
