FAQ:
As an artist, I prefer creating art the way my mind sees it. While I believe in working hand in hand with my clients to get the greatest design, I do not do well with anyone who micromanages the design process so please let me work my magic with your ideas and put your trust in my abilities and we will have a great experience!
How should I prepare for my appt?
- I suggest eating about two hours prior to your tattoo appt and being well hydrated.
- You are welcome to bring a water or soda in a container with a sealable lid and a lunch/snack (for longer sessions). Food and drink are not allowed directly in the tattoo area but we do take periodical breaks.
- Tattoos aren't always an exact science when it comes to how long it will take so please make sure that you aren't having to rush to leave to pick up kids, go to work, etc in case the tattoo takes longer than whats estimated for time
- Please DO NOT bring your children with you
- Please DO NOT come in stinky and sweaty lol....sad that I have to say this but please make sure you are clean
- Please DO NOT go spray tanning for at least 5 days prior to your tattoo
- Please DO NOT get sunburnt in the area that we are tattooing, if your skin is burnt and peeling, the tattoo will hurt more and the peeling skin makes it incredibly hard to tattoo
- Feel free to bring a blanket or pillow or headphones or book, etc. whatever makes you comfortable
- You can bring a friend with you, but please only one.
How much do you charge?
As opposed to charging hourly, I charge by size/detail/placement or session rates for larger tattoos that need multiple sittings. I prefer to talk specific pricing in person but also can typically work with multiple budgets.
What styles do you do?
Everything! I'm more than happy to do pretty much any tattoo but I do enjoy working in the following styles the most:
- Hybrid Realism
- American Traditional
- New School
- Neo-Traditional
- Traditional Japanese/Asian
- Cartoon/Comic
- Color Realism
- Abstract watercolor
- Bio-Organic or Bio-Mechanical
- Basically anything bold and colorful.
Do you tattoo black and grey or just color?
While I prefer color for sure, I also do black and grey all the time! Here's a few styles that I like doing with black and grey:
- Polynesian/Maori/Hawaiian style tribal
- Dark/creepy tattoos - skulls, ravens, scary looking halloween or horrow themes
What styles do you NOT do?
I do not prefer doing the following styles:
- Black and Grey landscapes unless they are background to a portrait of an animal...then I like doing it haha
- Small, fine line "micro-realism"
- Small, illegible script
Is there anything that you specifically Won't tattoo?
- While, I'll tattoo evil/creepy demon looking skulls and stuff, I do not tattoo anything blatently sacreligious (upside down crosses, three 6's, burning crosses, pentagrams, etc)
- I also do not tattoo anything hateful, racist, or gang related.
Are deposits non-refundable?
- All money that you put down towards a tattoo is NON-REFUNDABLE.
- The only time I refund deposits are if the client becomes pregnant (I don't want to hold money for someboy that long)
- Another exception is for tattoo conventions and travels. Money put down for an appt at a convention is required to hold your spot but has a 72 hour refund policy. Meaning, if you cancel or don't show up for your appt 3 days prior to the convention, I'll refund in full.
What if I need to reschedule an appt?
- No Problem! I understand that things happen, I just ask that you let me know 24 Hours in advance so that I can try to fill the appt time. Your deposit will be transferred to your new scheduled date. I do, however, only allow 2 reschedules before you'd need to bring another deposit in (I'll still honor the first deposit, but more money down will be required after 2 reschedules).
- If you fully cancel the tattoo instead of rescheduling....the deposit is still Non-Refundable
- If you cancel/reschedule THE DAY OF your appt, your deposit will also be Forfeit
