  • 2026-2027 UT Teen Health Youth Leadership Council Application

This application is to apply for membership to the 2026-2027 UT Teen Health Youth Leadership Council.
  • What is the YLC?

The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is an organization made up of a group of high school students from all over Bexar County who serve as youth advisors to the UT Teen Health initiatives. They promote positive youth development through education and awareness. YLC members participate in health awareness campaigns, train on teen health topics, and are involved in peer mentoring, community service, and leadership development activities. The YLC is made up of four zones that meet in different locations across San Antonio: YLC North, YLC South, YLC East, and YLC West. Meetings serve as learning opportunities such as participating in teambuilding activities, developing leadership skills, and learning about teen health and topics such as reproductive anatomy, contraception, STDs/HIV, mental health, and teen dating violence. Meeting topics and activities are not limited to adolescent sexual health but include learning about overall teen health.
