About: Miami County Farm Bureau is dedicated to supporting students who are choosing to remain on the farm after high school. In an effort to do this, we are offering a $1000 First Harvest grant. Funds are available to those who are still in high school or recently graduated.
Purpose: The purpose of the First Harvest grant is to help offset farm operation costs. This can include but is not limited to: fuel costs, land rent, fertilizer costs, equipment costs, etc. The appropriate use of the funds will be left up to the determination of the Miami County Board of Trustees.
Eligibility:
1. Must be a Miami County Resident.
2. Must be able to provide supporting documention proving intent to farm should it be requested by the Miami County Board of Trustees.
3. Applicant must be a Miami County Farm Bureau member.

Selection: Selection of the final applicant will be made by the Miami County Board of Trustees.

Notification of Winners- Our office will notify all applicants of the winner. Winners will be required to give a photograph to the Farm Bureau for our publications and social media.
