    Rostered ministers are responsible for reporting all continuing education. It is recommended that you fill out this form at least twice a calendar year, so you don't forget the hours you have earned along the way.

    If you need help filling out this form, contact the synod office. You will find continuing education opportunities on our website.

    HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU NEED EACH YEAR?

    Full-time rostered ministers 40 hours annually
    Three-quarters-time rostered ministers  30 hours annually
    Half-time rostered ministers 20 hours annually
    Any other part-time, interim, or retired (and serving) rostered ministers The number of hours should match your call

     

    HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION EVENT COUNTS—AND FOR HOW MANY HOURS?

    Are you taking a class?                                                                                 

    Count the hours you spend in class. 

    Are you in a Book Study?                                                                           

    Count the hours you spend in group conversation about the book. 

    Are you at a conference?                                                                             

    Count the hours you spend in a lecture/workshop/keynote.

    Are you meeting a colleague for lunch? Meeting your colleagues for coffee? Spending time sharing together, venting together, praying together?             

    Those are all marvelous activities to do together! They are not continuing education hours.

    NOTE: The synod's rostered minister Zoom calls count as 1 hour when there is content/learning (not worship, prayer, or lectio divina).
