Sick Policy
  • Sick Policy

  • To prevent the spread of communicable diseases, including COVID-19, to Artistic Legends ABA staff and clients, we have implemented the following illness policy for the client or anyone within the client's home.

If someone feels unwell within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment, the parent/guardian must promptly notify the supervising BCBA or therapist, preferably the day before the appointment if possible.

Sickness encompasses, but is not limited to, the following:
    • Temperature above 100°F
    • Communicable Disease
    • Chicken Pox
    • Diarrhea
    • Lice
    • Mumps
    • Ring Worm
    • Strep Throat
    • Staph Infection
    • Vomiting
    • Pink Eye
    • Pin Worm
    • Rash

Follow the Sick Policy/Guidelines applicable to schools and day care facilities. If a child is too sick for school or day care, they are considered too sick for an ABA therapy session.

Therapy will resume once the ill person in the home is no longer contagious or has completed the required remedy. If the ARTISTIC LEGENDS ABA client was ill, the parent/guardian must provide documentation from the doctor before resuming ABA therapy.

Failure to notify the supervising BCBA or therapist of illness results in the inability to provide services, and the responsible party will be charged for the session. This fee is not billable or reimbursable through insurance due to non-compliance with the policy.
