1. FFLDS is a registered disability organisation that delivers Activity Programs, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialty Disability Accommodation (SDA) in Vic and NSW. Our Mission is to develop services that enhance the quality of life and individual outcomes. Our Vision is to live in a world where all people hold the power to create opportunity for themselves and others. Our goals and objectives are to:
a. Provide high-quality, person-centred support to people with disabilities to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.
b. Promote independence and social inclusion by providing a range of support services that enable people with disabilities to live as independently as possible within the community.
c. Ensure that people with disabilities have access to safe, secure, and affordable housing that meets their individual needs and preferences.
d. Work collaboratively with other organisations to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.
2. The governance structure and processes of FFLDS are summarised as follows:
a. Managing Director: Is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s management and ensuring that the organisation is run in the best interests of its stakeholders. Additionally they are also responsible for setting the organisation’s strategic direction, monitoring performance, and ensuring that the organisation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
b. Senior Leadership Team: Is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation and implementing the Managing Director’s strategic direction. The team is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
c. Quality and Compliance Team: Is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The team is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of people with disabilities.
d. Support Staff: Support staff are responsible for providing direct support to people with disabilities. They work closely with people with disabilities to develop individualised support plans that meet their unique needs and preferences. Support staff are responsible for ensuring that people with disabilities receive the highest quality of care and support.
