  • Freddie is committed to supporting LGBTQ2S+ students pursuing their postsecondary education.

    Queer and trans communities face stigma due to identity, expression, and sexuality, and are also at higher risk of poverty, homelessness, and violence.

    Through all this, LGBTQ2S+ communities are resilient. Freddie wants to celebrate that! We want to make your student journey easier so that you can focus on giving your education your best

  • In order to submit your application, please fill out the following information and submit the necessary documents.

    Applications received will be reviewed by a committee of two Freddie staff and one representative from a community organization.

    Successful applicants will demonstrate:‍

    • Engagement in community activities

    • Desire towards enacting change, especially as it relates to LGBTQ2S+ empowerment

    Please ensure you have all of the necessary documents: proof of enrolment in a postsecondary institution; resume; and essay (or alternative format) before continuing. If you don't have those documents ready at this point, you can fill out your application at a different time before our deadline on February 29, 2024.

    Your scholarship may be tax deductible. However, you are responsible for any tax reporting requirements and any tax due. We cannot give any tax advice.‍

    Freddie will not share the personal information of applications in any way. All information submitted will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of determining a winner.

    Scholarship results will be sent to all applicants via email by March 28, 2024.
