Hello! We are so excited that you are interested in Apex Homeschool Group. This community is designed to cultivate an atmosphere that points families to Christ and align ourselves with the mindset that Christ is our Cornerstone. It is with this, that we root our relationship with Christ, our relationship with family, our education, and our friendships.
Apex offers four main programs within our community campus which is currently located at Faith Baptist Church in Winter Haven.
Pebbles Program (Infant-3yrs)

CORNERSTONE PROGRAM (Elementary K-4 thru 5th) 9am-12pm
A Cornerstone is the rock upon which the weight of the entire structure rests. Scripture describes Jesus as the chief Cornerstone, Jesus ensures the stability of the whole system of our salvation.
Isaiah 28:16, "Therefore this says the Lord God: 'Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation.
This parent assisted program that meets weekly for 12 weeks in the Fall and 12 weeks in the Spring from 9:00am-12pm, is intentionally designed to create a cornerstone that will ensure the stability of the whole system of our child’s education. Keeping Christ first, we will point all subjects back to Him and His marvelous creation while creating a solid cornerstone of faith and classical learning.
Classically, students are in the “grammar” stage of learning in this program and benefit from memorizing facts for each subject studied. Later, these facts will be easily retrieved as the student begins to transition into a more dialectic and rhetorical stage.
Our fall semester starts mid August and ends the week before Thanksgiving. Our Spring semester usually begins the 2nd week of January and goes through the end of April. Our years are broken into 3 "Peaks" of focus. All grade levels K4-5th are learning the same information...some a little more deeper than others.
We have weekly science experiments/experiences, art (music theory, music history, artist focus, and drawing), and public speaking.
We provide our members access to a Google Drive filled with resources for each week's anchor points (memory work) material that each parent can use or not use based on their "at home" plan for each of their students. Anchor points are given for Bible, History, Science, English, Geography, and Math.
Apex recommends that parents purchase their own math curriculum to supplement Math anchor pegs. Apex also encourages parents to implement some sort of a reading plan for their student(s). English Grammar for students K4-2nd grade could simply be the anchor pegs we do each week because the Capstone Program that they start in the 3rd grade from 1pm-3pm on community days, is an intense and VERY thorough English Grammar and writing curriculum that has shown to be very rich and the kids.

Capstone program (3rd - 5th): 1pm-3pm
A capstone is known as the crowning achievement or culmination/ finishing touch. God even speaks of the "capstone" or "headstone" when discussing the completion of the temple.
This program will build into our existing Cornerstone program and is also a parent assisted program. We will meet from 1pm – 3pm for 12 weeks in the Fall and 12 weeks in the Spring on the same weeks and in conjunction with the Cornerstone Program. This program is a comprehensive English Grammar and Writing program.
This program serves as the final three years of our Cornerstone program and acts as the crown of the many years of anchor point memorization accomplished. This program prepares the student for the Catalyst Program allowing their dialectic skills to begin to take root as they learn to investigate sentence structure and discuss the truth of opinions in their writing.

Catalyst Program (6th – 8th): 8:30am-3pm
A catalyst is known as an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action. It accelerates change by showing the need for change and patiently explaining the way of change by regularly casting vision, painting a picture of the future.
This program is designed to aid the student as they embrace their dialectic skills and prepares them for the Pinnacle Program. It is in these years that we see significant change in our student’s ability to process and communicate ideas, opinions, and truth. Learning to communicate respectfully, eloquently, and confidently are key skills that your student will develop in the Catalyst Program. This program focuses on and encourages the student to begin taking responsibility and teaches them that by doing so, self-control and planning is necessary.
Unlike the Cornerstone and Capstone programs, the Catalyst program is a drop off program and will be meeting once a week from 8:30am-3pm for 15 sessions in the Fall and 15 sessions in the Spring.
Pinnacle Program (9th – 12th): 8:30-3pm
The Pinnacle is known as the highest point of development or achievement. The pinnacle of God’s creation portrays that God created everything concluding on the 6th day with the creation of humans. The world was created to serve human beings, and he intended for the humans to have power over all other creation.
This program has been intentionally designed to bring all of the skills of the prior programs together with the continued development of their dialectic skills but now instituting the opportunity to allow their rhetorical skills to take flight. This program is designed to help your student think critically and allow their writing, reading, and logic skills to become more solidified. In four years, this program is designed to help the student realize that their self control will bring forth freedom and freedom will bring forth opportunities for them to make wise decisions. It teaches that un-wise decisions will bring forth negative results. It ultimately helps them realize that even negative results can often times bring forth a strong leader.
The Pinnacle program is also drop off program and meets once a week from 8:30am-3pm for 15 sessions in the Fall and 15 sessions in the Spring.
