  • Welcome to the After School Program at The Martial Arts Training Centre in Richmond Hill, where we prioritize the holistic development of every child in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Our program is designed for children of various age groups and includes safe and reliable transportation from school to our facility. We offer a blend of martial arts training with educational and recreational activities, ensuring a well-rounded experience. Our curriculum focuses on enhancing social skills, encouraging teamwork, and providing academic support including homework assistance. With nutritious snacks and a wide range of activities like reading, writing, science, math, arts and crafts, your child will enjoy a balanced mix of learning and fun. In addition, we offer drop-ins for all available martial arts classes and discounts for PA day, Spring, Winter, and Summer Camps. Join us for a unique after-school experience where your child's safety, education, and personal growth are our top priorities..

  • Statement of Fees

    Fees for 2024-2025:Full Time paid in full (5 days): $4,000 + HSTFull Time (5 days): $4,500 + HST (or $450 + HST in 10 monthly installments)Full Time No Contract (5 days): $499 + HST/monthPart Time (min 2 days): $30 + HST per day (limited availability)Sibling Discount: 10% for each sibling attending 3+ daysPriority Allocation: Spaces allocated primarily to parents contracting full-time spaces, in order of utilization.

  • The Martial Arts Training Centre After School Program (TMATC ASP) Policies:

    Operational Hours:

    TMATC ASP operates from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, providing quality after-school activities and care for children.
    Closure Policy: The program will be closed whenever YRDSB/YCDSB schools are closed.


    Transportation:

    Children will be collected from school and transported to the Centre located at 166 Newkirk Rd, Richmond Hill.
    Nutritious Snacks: A daily nutritious snack is provided for each child.
    Medication and Illness Policy: Medication will not be administered without parental approval. Parents will be contacted immediately if a child appears ill or has a temperature reaching 101 degrees F.


    Emergency Treatment:

    In emergencies, TMATC ASP has the right to administer first aid or obtain emergency medical treatment as needed.
    Surveillance and Photography Consent: Children are under video surveillance for safety. Parents consent to the use and publication of their child’s photographs during program activities.
    Personal Property: TMATC ASP is not responsible for personal items brought to the program.


    Program Disturbance:
    Child Pick-up: Only authorized adults may pick up children. Parents are responsible for informing TMATC ASP about lateness or absences. A $20 fee applies for failure to notify.
    Late Pick-up Fee (applies to non-contracted and daily members only): A late pick-up fee of $1 per minute, per child, is charged starting at 6:01 PM, based on TMATC’s clock.

    TMATC ASP Snow Day Pick-Up Policy:

    Snow days, a decision is made by 11 AM if pick-up services are safe. If not, we'll notify parents. Our facility stays open for drop-offs if parents can safely transport their children. Safety is our priority, and we appreciate your cooperation.


    Tuition Policy:

    Tuition applies to the entire school year as per YRDSB/YCDSB calendar, including PA days, breaks, holidays, absences, or snow days.
    Payment Terms: A one-month deposit required upon registration. Monthly fees are due in advance, payable every 25th of the month to The Martial Arts Training Centre.


    Returned Payment Penalty:

    A $30 + HST charge applies for returned checks or declined transactions. Future payments may be required in cash after a returned/declined payment. All collection-related fees are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
