Please read the entire document before applying to be a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at camp this summer.
In 2024, GSNYPENN is excited to offer Counselor-In-Training programs free of cost to encourage and train the next generation of Camp Counselors.
The CIT I & II programs teach Girl Scouts the necessary life, leadership, and outdoor skills to be successful as a camp staff member! CITs will learn about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, child behavior and characteristics, and outdoor skills during their week(s) at camp. The group of CITs will work together to plan activities at camp with the support of camp staff.
Our CITs will also have the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities. However, no add-on adventures will be made available.
