  • Volunteer Application

Thank you for considering volunteering with us! We rely entirely on volunteers to carry out the day to day operations. There are numerous ways you can get involved. Please review the volunteer positions below and let us know which ones interest you!
  • Applications

Fosters and adopters are very important for rescue as they are what keep us going! We get around 150 foster applications and 1000 adoption applications per year. We have a team of volunteers that process all of these applications to make sure each one is a good fit to foster or own a pet!
  • Foster Applications (approx. 1 hr per week)

  • Coordinator

Each of our fosters is assigned a team of our volunteers (1 Foster Coordinator, 1 Adoption Coordinator, 1 Vetting Coordinator) to help and support them throughout the foster process. When they have an OFR foster animal, these coordinators are there to check in daily and make sure everything is going well for both the foster family and foster animal and help find the perfect forever home for that animal.

We use Facebook Messenger to communicate with volunteers and fosters. A BIG PART of being a coordinator is being able to check in with fosters throughout the day (at least morning and night). This means being able to check your phone throughout the day. If you are interested in being a coordinator please keep this in mind.
