Foster Coordinator (5+hrs per week)
- Reach out to your assigned fosters when a foster is needed for a dog/cat
- Coordinate getting any supplies the foster needs while they are fostering an OFR dog/cat
- Communicate daily with fosters who have an OFR dog/cat in their care
- Gather information about the dog/cat's behavior and needs while they are in the foster’s care to help build their bio and assist in getting them adopted
- Communicate with the other members of the foster team
Adoption Coordinator (2-10hrs per week)
- Communicate with foster parents to determine the best home for their foster dog/cat
- Reach out to adopters who are interested in your assigned dogs/cats
- Setup meet and greets with adopters
- Perform phone interviews (20-30min) with applicants interested in one of your assigned dog/cats
- Communicate with the other members of the Adoption team
Vetting Coordinator (2-4hrs per week)
- Vetting experience not required!
- Communicate daily with foster parents to keep in touch with how their foster dog/cat is doing medically
- Call vet partners to setup vet appointments (morning)
- Keep track of the vetting each of your assigned foster dogs/cats has had and will need while in OFR's care
- Communicate with the volunteer vet techs and other members of the Vetting team
We use Facebook Messenger to communicate with volunteers and fosters. A BIG PART of being a coordinator is being able to check in with fosters throughout the day (at least morning and night). This means being able to check your phone throughout the day. If you are interested in being a coordinator please keep this in mind.
