Minimum Entrance Requirements to attend Masters Plumbing & Gas School
- Minimum age. Students must be at least 18 years of age.
- Licensing. An apprentice license is NOT required to attend Plumbing Tier 1, Gas Tier 1, LP Tier 1, or LP Tier 2 courses.
- Licensing. An apprentice license is required for all other courses. E.G., an apprentice plumbing license is required for Plumbing Tiers 2, 3, 4, and 5. You must also be employed under a licensed master plumber, master gasfitter, or licensed LP Installer, according to the course you are attending. E.G., if you are attending plumbing tier 2, you must be working under a Master plumber who owns a licensed business operating as a plumbing company.
- Technology Requirements. You are required to have the following equipment to attend any course: High Speed Internet, PC or Mac, Headset with microphone, & Webcam.
No registrations will be accepted after the 4th class. Students who register late will have the ability to make-up the classes they have missed via the four make-up classes offered every semester. There is no extra charge for attending these make-up classes in the same semester. However, if you must make-up hours outside of the same semester, the cost is $13 per hour.
The following applies to ALL courses, except for the “refresher” course.
- Each course/program is a total of 110 Clock Hours.
- These 110 Clock Hours are provided in two unique 55-hour parts: Part 1 in the Spring Semester, and Part 2 in the Fall Semester. The curriculums are different between the Spring and Fall.
- The tuitions listed for each course/program covers 55 clock hours.
- Students must complete both parts of a tier to complete the full tier.
- Students must complete all tiers in a subject area (plumbing, gas, LP) in order to qualify to take their state licensing exam. E.G. In order to qualify for the Journeyman plumbing exam, you must complete Plumbing Tiers 1-5 for a total of 550 hours.
- The course duration for each semester is one night a week, for 12 weeks.
- All courses take place from 6:00pm – 10:30pm EST.
