  • Test-Out Requirements for Level 1 Certified Personal Trainer:

    1. Be 18 years of age
    2. Have proof of CPR/AED Certification (Live required, online not accepted. Must follow the American of Heart Association guidelines)
    3. High school Diploma or GED equivalent
    4. English comprehension for the written and practical exams
  • After submitting your test-out registration form and payment, W.I.T.S. will email a registration confirmation to the email address you listed on the test-out registration form. Please double-check your SPAM/JUNK folder. 

  • Completed registrations will be processed within 7 days. Upon receipt of the test-out exam registration, you will be entered into the online curriculum modules via Canvas so you can have access to the most up-to-date course curriculum to help you prepare for the test-out certification exams.

  • Any form received with any missing field and/or without payment will be rejected outright and noted as such on our return letter.

Delays in receiving the form and your official documents for verification, will result in your retest being rescheduled for the next national retest weekend.

      • Terms and Conditions:

         

        1.       Test-out registration must be received by the W.I.T.S. office, no later than 35-days prior to the selected exam date, in order to guarantee a spot on the exam roster (No refunds).

        2.       Proof of both test-out registration and government issued photo ID are required at each exam in order to test on the certification exams.

        3.       The W.I.T.S. Certification Council requires that the W.I.T.S. office must receive proof of CPR/AED certification (Live required, online not accepted. Must follow the American of Heart Association guidelines), within 60 days of the original testing date in order to have a certification issued.

        4.       Exam dates and/or locations are subject to change due to unforeseeable circumstances (Ex. COVID, Weather, site availability, etc.).

        5.       Test candidates are required to test in the location of registration record, unless special approval was granted from another testing site.

        6.       The W.I.T.S. special accommodations request form and official ADA documents must be received by the W.I.T.S. office, no later than 30 days prior to the selected exam date or testing will be rescheduled.

        7.       Test candidates will be notified of their exam schedule via email, 5 days prior to the exam date (schedule includes exam time, date, location, etc.). 

        8.       Core Knowledge test candidates are required to bring either a #2 pencil or a dark ink pen such as blue or black ink.

        9.       Practical test candidates are required to wait in the lobby for the practical examiner to come get them for their practical exam.

        10.    W.I.T.S. will send you your results by secured e-mail within a maximum of 30 days of the exam date.

        11.    W.I.T.S policy is every test-out candidate has 12 months from their test-out registration date to pass both exams. Within those 12 months, each candidate is given the opportunity of 3 chances to test (1 initial test and 2 retests for a fee).

        12.    As part of the test-out registration, each candidate is given a free test voucher for 1 written exam and 1 practical skills exam to test on their original selected exam date.

        13.    Any candidate who fails to appear for their scheduled exam time, without proper written notice, supporting documentation, and fee to reschedule, will forfeit their free test voucher.

        14.    You are only eligible to reschedule once for a $75 non-refundable fee, on a case-by-case basis, for documented serious illness, bereavement, natural disasters and other emergencies.

        Rescheduling must be done via email to WITStesting@witseducation.com, no later than 10-days prior to the retest date you registered for.
        Your rescheduling request will be reviewed and you will be notified via email, within 7 days upon receipt of $75 non-refundable fee, online rescheduling request form, and supporting documentation pertinent to your case.
        Any rescheduling request missing any of the three requirements (non-refundable fee, online submission form, and supporting documents as to why you cannot attend your scheduled exam) will automatically be denied.
        Those who cannot provided supporting documentation for review are not eligible to reschedule.
