The 47th annual Apple Butter Festival will be held on September 21st & 22nd, 2024. Our famous parade will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st.
There is no entry fee or charge for local schools or non-profits. All other businesses, clubs, or political affiliations will be charged a $50 entry fee per vehicle and/or float. All proceeds funnel straight into the community via our FREE Summer Food Program, Eye Testing for all SOC Schools, Scholarships, and many other initiatives throughout the year.
We will be staging the parade at the south edge of Spencer in Cooper Common at 12:00 pm, noon. We will follow our usual parade route from Cooper Street north on Main St. to Hillside Ave. Entrants need to check in with a Lions Club member wearing a yellow or purple shirt. That member can consult their records and tell you what number you will be and where specifically to line up. Another Lions Club member in that area will help get you in the parade lineup. You'll be asked to write on a 4x6 card what you’d like our announcer to say as you pass the reviewing stand at the courthouse about your parade entry, you may fill this portion in below as well. That’s all there is to it!
Entries may also be mailed, phoned, or e-mailed to me. Please return entries no later than September 13th. Late entries will still be in the parade, even if they show up the day of the parade, at the south end of East Street.
