The Buchanan Promise provides up to four (4) years of financial support, with a maximum of $3,750 per school year (depending on your scholarship funding percentage level), to be applied toward educational expenses for a degree, certificate, or training program. Eligible expenses include tuition, fees, books, and room & board charged through your institution's account.

Key Details:
- Disbursement: Funds will not be disbursed directly to students.
- Usage Period: Funds must be used within six (6) years of high school graduation and are intended to be distributed equally over this period. Exceptions may be granted for active military service.
- Award Acceptance: You must accept your Promise award by July 15, 2024, through the provided link. Failure to do so will result in removal from consideration. The online form includes an option to defer your award.
- Enrollment Verification: If using your award for the fall semester, you must submit proof of enrollment (e.g., enrollment letter, class schedule, or tuition statement with your student ID).
- Contact Information Updates: Notify the Buchanan Promise office immediately of any changes to your contact information, including home/school address, phone number, email, or institution.
