    Annual Corporate Member Application Form
  • Non-Voting Member Conditions:

    (i) shall be individuals over the age of 18 who are interested in furthering the Corporation's purposes (see below) and who have applied for and been accepted into membership by resolution of the Board;

    (ii)  shall each be entitled to receive notice of, attend all meetings of Members, but shall not have the right to vote at such meetings;

    (iii) shall have a term of membership that expires at the end of each fiscal year of the Corporation; and

    (iv) as a condition of membership, must pay an annual membership fee that may be established by the Board from time-to-time, which shall be due on or before the fiscal year end of the Corporation for membership in the upcoming year.

     

    Corporate Purposes:

    Ongwanada’ s Charitable Purposes
    1. To relieve conditions associated with disability by providing a spectrum of community supports for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
    2. To promote health and relieve conditions associated with disability by providing clinical treatment and specialized clinical services for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to enable them to reside in their communities and reach their maximum potential.
    3. To address and prevent specific problems faced by families of persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities by providing programs, guidance, supports and consultations to families and/or caregivers.
    4. To promote health through the operation of a pharmacy and related services by members of more than one health discipline for the benefit of persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and members of the public.
    5. To advance education and promote health by participating in research into the causes and treatment of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and ensuring the results are available to the public.
    6. To advance education by providing instruction and training for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and to individuals employed or studying in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or related fields.

  • Annual Member Fee

    Please note that the annual member fee is $1 and will be collected in the Executive suite at the Resource Centre (see Diane Milina x1139 or Kate Bearman x1113) prior to the Annual Meeting each year.

  • Ongwanada is a multi-faceted organization that serves the developmental services population in various capacities. We are always looking for dynamic individuals to participate with the organization and we thank you for your interest. If you are chosen to be part of the non-voting membership we will let you know by email. The Annual Meeting for the membership is typically held in June. Meetings can occur in person or by virtual means.
