Purpose of the Award
The Lorne and Margaret Trudeau Education Award was created to give the opportunity for a university education to a very talented student who would not otherwise be able to attend due to the cost. This award is designed to cover the expenses for four years of university in Canada to support the student during their undergraduate degree in engineering, natural sciences or nursing.
The award includes tuition, books, a campus food program, and, if applicable, contributions to the cost of residence or rent.
*The successful student is expected to apply for other grants available to post-secondary students. The successful student must pass their courses each year and will be asked annually to allow the Education Foundation of Ottawa to verify their registration and grades with the post secondary institution.
