Sydney Ceramics Market is a major event in Sydney Craft Week Festival 2024.
Back for our third year, we have secured a larger space at Carriageworks for our first TWO DAY event, happening across the following dates:
Bump in/Stallholder set up: Friday 18th October 2024
Market Days: Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October 2024
Location: Carriageworks, Bays 22-24, 245 Wilson St, Eveleigh NSW, Gadigal Land.
Please ensure you are available to be onsite for all three days.
Sydney Ceramics Market is all about bringing together a community of talented ceramicists, potters, artists and makers who are producing locally and by hand, to celebrate the potential of clay in all its wonderful forms. This annual event emerged from a desire to revel in the immense ingenuity and diversity in the craft of ceramics across NSW — creating a platform for more people to discover & collect unique pieces made by local creatives.
To be accepted into Sydney Ceramics Market 2024, you must be an independent, established and/or emerging ceramicist, or an established studio group/collective who produces and resides within the state of NSW or within the state of ACT as it is our aim to uplift makers in this region. To all our friends and fans from other states, we love your creativity too, and we are working towards opening applications Australia-wide for 2025.
Stall types:
Individual stallholders and established studio groups/collectives are encouraged to apply. Studio groups/collectives must submit one application with the details of all artists and their work, with one point of contact for all correspondence (examples of a studio group are: Kilnit, Claypool, St George Potters Group, etc). If individual studio members wish to present their own stall, they can apply separately from the group. Please note, we cannot accept independent stallholders to share a stand if you are not part of an established studio group – you must apply separately, as we encourage individuals to present your own brand & work in its best light!
Please note we cannot accept agents or wholesalers at this time.
Stalls sizes:
For 2024, stall sizes are available at 2x2m, 3x2m and 4x2m, with the additional option of a corner upgrade to allow your stall to have a front and side display. You can also opt to hire a trestle table and chair, but we encourage you prepare your own set up.
Application due date:
Applications are open until 11:59pm, Monday 20th May 2024.
Notification of your application status:
All applicants will be notified of their application status by the week commencing Monday 10th June 2024.
If accepted as a stallholder, you will have the opportunity to showcase your work to a growing community of ceramic lovers and collectors.
