Applicable to all current GBTA North Carolina Members. The purpose of these funds is to provide opportunities to our members to participate in the GBTA North Carolina events or to engage in learning and continuing education provided by GBTA to help grow and network.

How do you plan to use the scholarship funds you are requesting?
Indicate the program or event you will be applying the scholarship funds to. Submit verification of program acceptance or registration along with the scholarship application, if applicable, or submit the registration amount and total travel and expenses, then apply for that specific amount. Examples include: GBTA North Carolina Chapter Membership, Chapter Events, GBTA Annual Convention, GBTA programs and Certifications. Scholarship funds may not be applied to programs sponsored by competing organizations such as BTN, USTA, ASTA, NACE or MPI. Scholarship amount or $1000 Max per person many be received annually. Must be a valid and current GBTA North Carolina member. Funds can be received once per year per person and must be used for the specific event requested. Scholarship amount will be reimbursed on actuals, and all expense receipts must be turned in along with the reimbursement form to admin@ncbta.org. Any amount spent over the above approved scholarship award will be the responsibility of the recipient. CODE OF ETHICS: Expense receipts cannot be additionally claimed from the scholarship awardee's organization as well as GBTA-North Carolina. Please follow the rules pertaining to the chapters code of conduct when representing the chapter during events. In the event that a scholarship awardee is no longer in a position to utilize the funds, the status must be communicated to the chapter via an email to: admin@ncbta.org. NCBTA cannot reimburse expenses related to cancellation/penalties.

PROCESS: The Scholarship Committee will review the application and make a decision based on the applicants standing with the organization, conduct, and availability of scholarship funds at the time of application. Once the review process is complete, an acceptance or denial notification will be sent to the applicant via email. All decisions will be made by the Scholarship Chair, Tammie Ardolino and the Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
AFFIDAVIT: By Submitting this application to the GBTA North Carolina Chapter Scholarship Committee for consideration, I affirm that all the information provided is true and can be substantiated with additional documentation upon request. I understand that a submission of false information or failure to provide sufficient documentation shall invalidate this application and will result in the termination of any current or future scholarship aid.
