Introduction -- The response to the Crofton Salutes Our Heroes banners along Crofton Parkway has been great … everyone loves seeing them!

    Originally a one-time 60th Anniversary Program, there have been several requests to add new banners to the display and the CCA has decided to open up the program annually.

     If you want to honor veterans and currently serving members of the US Army, US Airforce, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Space Force, and US Coast Guard with a banner, you can submit your order and photos between now and April 10th 2026. The new banners will be installed along Crofton Parkway prior to the May 9th, 2026, Armed Forces/First Responders Parade.

     Each banner is permanently installed and costs only $250. You also have an option to provide a biography of your hero for the Gallery of Heroes.

Replacements -- All banners will be installed permanently and will not be removed and re-installed annually as are the Crofton Kiwanis' annual Parkway flags display. However, the banners will fade and wear over time. Town Hall will periodically inspect banners and if a banner is judged to be unservicable, the sponsor of that banner will be contacted and will be presented with the option to order a replacement at cost to be determined at that time. (Banners should remain serviceable for two to four years depending on environmental factors outside of the control of Town Hall.) If a sponsor of a banner does not reply or does not pay for a replacement of an unservicable banner, it will be removed.

Pictures -- Picture files should be of high quality. If a digital JPEG or PDF image file is provided, it should be at least 1MB in size or larger. PLEASE DO NOT USE IMAGES FROM ONLINE SOURCES (these are usually sampled down and cannot be enlarged). Banners are 4 feet tall and two feet wide. If you only have a photo print (as would be expected for all veterans who served prior to the Gulf War), you can bring your photo print to Town Hall and we'll scan the image for you.

Biography -- A list and pictures of honorees will be maintained in perpetuity at https://www.croftoncommunity.org/gallery-of-heroes/. You have the option of providing a biography of the honoree that will accompany the honoree's picture online.

Payment -- You have the option to pay by check or credit card below. If you choose to pay by credit card, we will send an email with a digital invoice that you can use to enter your credit card information (via Square). No order will be processed until payment is recieved.
