ABA INFORMATION
What is ABA?
ABA is a therapy that works to promote positive behaviors. This approach focuses on how behaviors change, or are affected by the environment, as well as how learning takes place. The term behavior refers to skills and actions needed to talk, play, and live.
BCBA vs RBT roles
BCBAs are responsible for developing and overseeing the entire treatment plan, from conducting assessments to designing interventions and monitoring progress.
RBTs are involved in implementing the intervention strategies developed by the BCBA and collecting data on the client's response to treatment.
What is data collection?
After initial assessment, a BCBA will create a program. Data is taken each session that informs the direction of ABA therapy, client outcomes, critical success measures, the effectiveness of client-therapist relationships, and overall progress toward practice goals.
