Eligibility Requirements
- US citizen
- Currently enrolled college student, accredited college or university
- In good standing with the college or university
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
- Applicant must be enrolled at Full-time status
- Undergraduate students only
- High School senior, full-time
- In good standing with the high school
- Proof of acceptance at an accredited:
- four-year accredited college
- two-year community college
- business or vocational school
Scholarship Conditions
- Scholarship recipients must provide proof of enrollment for each scholarship installment (payment) period.
- The scholarship is not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher during the scholarship period.
- The scholarship may be used to supplement benefits from the college, business or vocational school the student plans to attend and from other foundations or organizations. The student may use the scholarship to cover the costs of tuition, fees, books, room and board, computers, and other college-related expenses.
- Scholarship recipients shall not commit any act that indicates dishonesty or moral turpitude or that otherwise could materially injure the Men Who Dare, Inc.’s reputation. If such an act is committed by a scholarship recipient, the recipient’s scholarship award shall immediately be revoked.
Application Requirements
Applicants must provide the following:
1). College students:
- An official transcript with school seal
- Proof of enrollment.
High School seniors:
- a letter of acceptance from the declared school of intent
- An official high school transcript with school seal (most current transcript).
2) An essay on one of the following topics:
- Your educational/career goals upon graduation
- How your education will benefit your community
- Your personal autobiography (which must be written by the applicant)
Essay Requirments:
- Minimum of one page, not to exceed three pages
- Typed and double-spaced
- Font no larger than 12 pts.
- Signed by the applicant.
3) Two letters of recommendation (typed and signed); one from a teacher/school professional and one from someone who can attest to your leadership ability, character, community service, and/or achievements.
4) A 3x5 high resolution digital photo (graduation waist up photo) Photo will not be returned. Applicants may submit a USB flash drive,Note: Please submit photo electronically if submitting application electronically.
5) A financial award listing which includes all awarded scholarships, grants, and other financial aid received for your education (provide name of scholarship/grant, award amount and date received).
6) A copy of their Student Aid Report (SAR) which is generated once the applicant has filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). www.fafsa.ed.gov
7) An updated resume.
Submission of Application Package:
- Application packages must be completed as described above
- Application packages must be received by June 30, 2024
- All necessary paper work must be received in one complete package
INCOMPLETE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
