VEC: Bands!Bands!Bands! Expression of Interest
Bands!Bands!Bands! is monthly event held at the Victoria Event Centre at 1415 Broad Street. This project was created to make space for new and emerging local bands to take to the stage, with an emphasis on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, Disabled and other marginalized artists. By completing this form you are confirming your interest to participate in the program. You will receive confirmation of your submission and a member of the VEC team will follow up with you shortly. While completing this form does not guarantee a spot in Bands!Bands!Bands!, we aim to program as many applicants as possible while prioritizing applications from marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ groups.

In order to be eligible you must:
- Identify as an local emerging or early career artist
- Have a stage plot for your band (not sure what your stage plot should include? send us an email!)
- Provide a link (Bandcamp, Spotify, Youtube, Google Drive etc) to your music - you do not need to have professionally recorded material to apply, however we do need to see a sample of your material
- Provide 1-4 photos of your band for promotional purposes
- All band members must be available from 5pm-11pm for at least one of the following performance dates: October 15th, November 19th, December 17th and Tuesday, January 21st 2025.

Please note that you may be asked to be on site at 5pm to load-in, and will perform between 7:30-10:30pm. Once the bands have been selected, the order will be determined based on technical needs, artistic curation and event flow. Please only select dates that you are able to commit to being at the Victoria Event Centre from 5:00pm-11pm. Wider availability will increase the likelihood of your band being scheduled.

Bands!Bands!Bands! is specifically looking to welcome bands that include BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, Disabled and otherwise marginalized groups. In order to do this, we are asking applicants to participate in a voluntary disclosure process to prioritize these marginalized groups.

This process is entirely voluntary. Responses will be used to identify priority groups and report back on participation through aggregated data. This information will not be shared in any way that would identify its respondents.

You can choose to answer "yes" or "no", or to provide more detail if you would prefer (ex. "One member of our band identifies as a non-binary person, the two other members identify as queer men" or "Yes, one member of the band identifies as Métis"). There is a section at the bottom for you to note any other information you would like to share.
