During the first few weeks of the semester, you need to check in with all of your residents to see how they are doing. You will ask them some of the general questions and potentially some additional questions relating to a learning outcome. Please choose the statement that best represents your conversation with the student, if no statement applies please choose "other." Intentional Interactions #3 is due for each staff on Monday, March 30th 2026 at 8am.

Intentional Interaction Questions

These are sample questions that speak to the general topic that we would like to have information on. Please reword or ask the questions how you would like to ask them and as you feel your residents would like to be asked. Any mandatory question has been bolded.

- What kind of programs or campus events are you looking forward to seeing this semester? Are there programs you'd like to see for this semster that would most benefit you?
- What are you most looking forward to while living on campus this semester?
- We are now in Housing Deposit/ Selection time for Fall 2026. How has your experience living in the halls helped you prepare for your living arrangements for next year (suite/apartment mates)? (If they say I will live in a single, ask have they been making friend connections in case they cannot get a single as they will be even more limited next year).
- (First Year Specific)-Have you considered doing study abroad programs or looked at internships for the Summer? (Upperdivision Student)-How are you doing now that your classes are more directly connected to your major?(Senior Specific Student)-How are you preparing for your final semester within college? Have you applied for graduation and thought through your transition post graduation?
- The Desk and Mail positions will be recruited for by Residence Life soon (note to have students look at their emails). Do you have interest in being a student leader on campus? If so how have you been getting involved on campus?
- (Returning Student)-Now that it is Spring Semester, do you feel connected to Campus and how? If not, what are you doing to become more connected and how can we support you to do that? (Transfer Student)-How are you going to connect to the campus community? How can we support you to do that?
