We want the best for our dogs. They deserve it.

Owning a pet is a commitment and serious responsibility. Animals are not able to help themselves if they are hungry, thirsty, hot, cold, tired, sick, or frightened, and they can’t tell us what they need. They depend on humans to care for them. Besides love and companionship, you agree to meet the basic needs of the dog named below by following these guidelines: (DO NOT expect a child to be responsible for the pet!)
BINDING CONTRACT:

I understand that if for whatever reason I cannot keep this pet, I will contact Cuddle Babies Animal Rescue for instructions to return the animal. Under no circumstances is the pet to go to any other person, shelter, rescue, pound, animal control, etc. I agree that I am responsible for getting the animal back to CBAR and I understand that adoption fees are non-refundable.(We have emotional investments in all the animals we rescue and are careful about who adopts them. Some other rescues or shelters are not as discerning as we are and not all people care responsibly for their pets. This is why we ALWAYS require the animals come back to us.)

HEARTWORMS AND FLEAS: Heartworms may be the worst problem dogs have in the south. They are caused by the bite of an infected mosquito and cannot be seen in or around the animal. Symptoms of heartworm disease typically don't show until it is too late. You MUST agree to give your dog a monthly heartworm preventive (or 6 month Proheart injection) from your veterinarian to prevent this serious disease. If you adopted a heartworm positive dog, you will have already been made aware and have signed an addendum to this contract. Your dog's next heartworm pill and flea preventive will be due on the 1st of the following month or on the date given to you by your adoption counselor. Please make an appointment with your veterinarian BEFORE his/her next preventives are due to make sure you are keeping your adopted dog consistent and updated.*

Responsibilites and Waivers

Because we are a rescue and because many times we don't know the histories of the dogs we take in, we cannot guarantee the HEALTH, AGE OR TEMPERAMENT of any of our dogs. Adopters understand that they are adopting a pet, not a piece of furniture and there are no expressed or implied guarantees whatsoever.Adoption Fee: In consideration of the NON-REFUNDABLE adoption fee listed below, I am partially covering CBAR's expenses of my newly adopted pet. If the animal is not spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, I agree to abide by the Spay/Neuter Contract I signed in connection with this Adoption Agreement.I will only return the dog to CBAR and nowhere else should I not be able to keep the dog.Chaining or tying this dog outside is NOT acceptable. Penning the dog in a small space permanently is NOT acceptable. If you would not trade places with your dog, then the living conditions are NOT acceptable. Cuddle Babies Animal Rescue has the right to take back the dog if these conditions occur.Swimming pools: Please put your pet in the pool several times making sure they are aware of the exit and swims to the exits to exit the pool!LOST PETS: I agree to keep my pet collared and tagged at all times. Ideally, a tagged AND microchipped pet has a much better chance of returning home should he / she escapes or becomes lost. I AGREE that should my pet go missing, I am to contact Cuddle Babies Animal Rescue IMMEDIATELY for recovery assistance. 501-303-9913
Adoption is a Lifelong CommitmentAdopting a companion animal is a great responsibility. I will be sharing my life with this pet who is totally dependent upon me for food, shelter, veterinary care, and love. Animals should be closely supervised when they are with children. I am responsible for checking to see if the city in which I live requires animals to have a city license as well as other local laws, and I will obtain any required license and comply with all applicable local ordinances regarding this dog. I understand the need for a tag with my phone # on it, if the dog gets lost. Except for medical reasons and extraordinary circumstances, Cuddle Babies Rescue does not provide refunds for adoption fees.

Liability Waiver: understand that Cuddle Babies Rescue cannot guarantee the health, temperament, or training of the animal and I hereby release Cuddle Babies Rescue from all liability once the animal is adopted.
