The National Indigenous Music Awards is looking for community members to be a part of the NIMAs First Nations Leadership Group (NIMA FNLG).

The purpose of the Leadership Group is to provide advice to the NIMA Team on matters related to the National Indigenous Music Awards and include:
- Supporting the NIMA Team on strategies to improve the planning, coordination and operation of the NIMA’s;
- Assisting in the nomination process, particularly for the Hall of Fame category;
- Advising on program and activities in relation to the NIMA;
- Promoting and advocate the awards to the sector and their communities
- Identifying opportunities with the awards and provide advice on how to support the awards to keep elevating each year
- Members must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and work in or associated with the Indigenous music sector.
Members will receive a sitting fee and will be appointed for a period of two years, meeting four times a year with additional video conferences may be called as required.
