Rabbis, in the months following October 7th we know that your work has changed in every single way and also not at all. Every single way, because how can we possibly engage our community members amidst the sheer volume of challenges we continue to navigate even months later? Not at all, because the fundamental work remains steadfast: to show up for our people pastorally, to gather them meaningfully, and to teach Torah.

As Jewish spiritual leaders, we know there’s no better way to deepen relationships and buildcommunity than through learning together. Our teams are proud to be partnering for the Atra-IYUN Teaching Lab: Building Community Through the Study of Torah.

We bring the content and proven methodology, you bring the people and your passion.

Together in this 4-part workshop series, we will learn new techniques for building relationships and tools for deepening communal learning experiences, in preparation to lead IYUN circles in your own communities. We will have the opportunity to access content made for this moment. Sessions will be facilitated by IYUN and Atra faculty.

Workshop dates: All sessions will run for 90 minutes, 1-2:30pm ET (10-11:30am PT)

    • Workshop 1: March 14
    • Workshop 2: March 21
    • Workshop 3: March 28
    • Workshop 4: April 4

Participants will launch their own IYUN Circles with a start date between April 1 - May 27, 2024.

  • The Atra-IYUN cohort seeks to support clergy in designing and launching pedagogically-rich projects to sustainably engage their local community in Jewish living, learning, and relationships—and help shape the community’s future.

  • We recognize that the time demands on Jewish spiritual leaders can be unpredictable. While we hope that participants can join this community for all sessions, we want to encourage clergy to take the time needed to prepare for innovation. Out of respect for your peers in the cohort, we ask that participants make their best effort to attend all sessions, and miss no more than one session.
