Dear Prospective Debutante,

Thank you for your interest in and Welcome to the Inaugural 2024-2025 Debutante season for Delta Mu Xi Sorority, Inc. Haus of Reign Cotillion. Young people are being selected to participate in an organization that gives them the opportunity to meet other young people within the LGBTQQIP2SAA community. Throughout a one-year membership, events are held to promote friendships and networking with other young people. Our organization is composed of young people who are recognized as accomplished, respected, and up and coming young people in the LGBTQ+ community, with an interest in pursuing a college education or entrepreneurial endeavors . The purpose of the Haus of Reign Cotillion is to organize a group of people that will bond with one another, become aware of and improve important social skills, and produce young persons that share common goals, the most important being to secure their future career endeavors in education or entrepreneurship.

If you are invited to participate, you will have the opportunity to engage in various luncheons and activities that will encourage future success. On March 29, 2025, we will celebrate with a grand ball. We are excited about the fun activities planned and hope that you are too!

Being a debutante requires time, work, and commitment. Before applying, please consider the following minimum requirements. Please also consider expenses that are involved. ( Note: We will hold fundraisers and work with sponsors to help with cost, for those who need assistance.)

To be presented, a prospective Debutante must:
1. Be a LGBTQ+ identifying resident in the United States and reside in the Atlanta, Georgia Metropolitan area or local Counties prior to invitation.
2. HIGH SCHOOL junior in the Fall or 2024 OR THOSE COMPLETING A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA PROGRAM or higher.
3. MUST BE 16-20 YEARS OLD.
4. Not have been presented in another debut.
5. Exhibit high moral and ethical standards.
6. Pay dues of $550 (in two installments) which includes 8 events over a 1 year time frame. Dues are non-refundable. Dues include: a non-refundable $275 initial fee by June 27, 2024; the balance of $275 will be due by High Noon tea/luncheon in August. Dues are subject to increase before your acceptance into Haus of Reign Debutante Cotillion, in which case you will be notified in writing upon your invitation.
7. Wearing appropriate attire to each event and wearing white formal ball-attire to the Ball (Ball attire must meet the specified requirements)
8. Attend program events, and cotillion rehearsal (outlined in Debutante calendar).
9. MUST RSVP to every invitation.
10. Select a reliable young escort (ages 16-20) and an adult presenter (parent or parental-figure) for the Cotillion ball.
11. Must adhere to the mandatory standards (rules re: piercings, tattoos, hair color, zero-tolerance alcohol policy at events, etc.)

DEBUTANTE AGREEMENT

This Debutante Agreement (the Agreement) is made and entered into this day of:

the mother and/or father and/or legal guardian(s) of the debutante (individually, the “Parent” and collectively, the “Parents” or “Legal Guardian”). The Parties shall include Haus of Xi, Inc. (HX), the Parent, Parents or Legal Guardian.
WHEREAS, the HX desires to plan and execute a Debutante Cotillion (the “Cotillion”); and

WHEREAS, the Debutante and her Parents desire that the Debutante participate in the Cotillion;

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, the Parties hereto agree as follows:

SECTION 1: RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STC

The HX agrees to plan and execute a Cotillion and related activities while adhering to the provisions found in the HX Constitution and this Agreement.

SECTION 2: DEBUTANTE FEE
1. The parents/legal guardians of the Debutante shall pay a fee of $550.00 to the HX in order to participate in the Cotillion and related events.
2. The Debutante Fee is payable to the HX in the following installment plan:
  1. The initial deposit of $275.00 is due upon receiving a letter of acceptance from HX. The debutante fee is non-refundable. The deadline for debutantes is May15th.
  2. The second and final payment of $275.00 is due at the High Noon Tea held in August.
3. Fees may be paid in the form of money order, cashier’s check, or credit/debit card. No cash will be accepted. First payments should be sent in with acceptance card and be made payable to “Haus of Xi” and submitted to the address below by the deadline (June 27th): Haus of Xi, 3204 Wanstead Park Drive #105, Suwanee, Georgia 30024.
4. Until such time as all applicable fees are paid, the applicant is not fully registered as a debutante and will be ineligible to participate in scheduled events and activities up to and including the Cotillion Ball.
5. If for whatever reason the Debutante does not attend events or attend the Cotillion Ball, no refunds are issued.
SECTION 3:DEBUTANTE RESPONSIBILITIES AND REPRESENTATIONS
1. The Debutante represents that they are:
  1. Currently a sophmore, entering junior year in the fall;
  2. Has never been married; and/or is not a parent
  3. Has not been presented in another debut.
  4. Resides in the Atlanta Metro area.
2. It shall be the responsibility of the Debutante to attend the following events/activities:
  1. The High Noon Tea
  2. Fall Luncheon/ Workshop
  3. Dress Approval Day
  4. Junior Pictures (not required to purchase, but picture is necessary for program)
  5. Rehearsal
  6. Cotillion Ball
  7. Spring Luncheon
3. Certain circumstances may warrant an excused absence from a required event or activity listed in subparagraph (B) of this section. The debutante’s advisor must be notified as soon as possible. Excused absences: college entrance exams (e.g. SAT, ACT), death in the family and illnesses. All absences must be brought to the attention of debutante’s advisor immediately.
4. The Debutante’s conduct shall be at all times proper, respectful and above reproach. Respect must be given to those in authority, including but not limited to advisors and chaperones. No smoking, alcoholic beverages or drugs will be tolerated.
5. Debutante agrees not to harm HX, its advisors, board members or chaperones’ reputations. Debutante further agrees not to upload or post unwanted or unfavorable publicity regarding HX, advisors, its board members or chaperones.
SECTION 4: PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND REPRESENTATIONS
1. The Parent represents that:
  1. They are the legal guardian(s) of the Debutante; and
  2. They accept responsibility for all duties as outlined in this Agreement.
2. The Guardian(s) shall make all timely scheduled payments of the Debutante Fee as set forth above.
3. It shall be the responsibility of the Guardian(s) to attend the following events:
  1. The High Noon Tea
  2. Rehearsal and any necessary tuxedo fittings (Father or Designated presenter)
  3. Cotillion Ball (Guardian(s) )
4. If a Guardian(s) cannot attend an activity they must send a responsible, designated adult to represent them.
5. It is the responsibility of the Guardian(s) to ensure that their young person has an Escort who meets the following criteria:
  1. A high school student; and within the range of fifteen (15) to twenty (20).
  2. Conforms to the instructions regarding attire for the Cotillion Ball.
  3. Demonstrates conduct that is above reproach at all times. Shows respects to those in authority and fellow Cotillion participants. Refrains from smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages, drugs, and other items prohibited by the Cotillion Advisory Board.
Note, if the Escort is released from obligation at anytime, it shall be the responsibility of the Guardian(s) to ensure Debutante submits the name of a substitute escort in writing to the Cotillion Ball Chair.

SECTION 5: TERMINATION
1. HX shall reserve the right to withdraw membership without notice at any time for inappropriate dress or conduct. Withdrawing membership will result in immediate termination of this Agreement.
2. Termination of this Agreement shall result in the FOREFEITURE of ALL DEBUTANTE FEES.
3. All decisions made by the HX with respect to termination shall be final and cannot be appealed.
SECTION 6: OTHER
1. Photo Release: As the guardian of the Haus of Xi Cotillion debutante specified below, I grant Haus of Xi Cotillion the right to use my young person's name and likeness for its publication, web site and any other marketing related products and services.

1. Be a resident of the United States and reside in the Atlanta Mtro area for one full year prior to invitation
2. Classify as a high school junior as of Fall their presentation year.
3. Not have been presented in another debut.
4. Exhibit high moral and ethical standards.
5. Pay dues of $550 (in two installments) which includes 8 events over the 2024-2025 school year. Dues are non-refundable. Dues include: a non-refundable $275 initial fee by June 27, 2024; balance of $275 due by The High Noon Tea in August.
6. Wear appropriate attire to each event and wear white formal ball attire to the Ball (attire must meet the specified requirements)
7. Attend program events, and cotillion rehearsal (outlined in Debutante calendar).
