    USDA HEPCAMP Internship Program Application

  • Internship Information

    The National HEP/CAMP Association has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to offer a paid 10-week summer internship in Washington, D.C. to students from farmworker backgrounds. Interns will work in various USDA agencies 40 hours/week from Monday to Friday and must be available to work during core business hours between 6:30 am – 6:00 pm Eastern Time. 

     

    Student Eligibility

    To be eligible for the HEP/CAMP - USDA Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

    • Be a current or former CAMP participant or HEP graduate attending a post-secondary institution (Please note that HEP graduates must have completed one academic term in the institution to qualify)
    • Submit a completed application along with:
      • Resume (include volunteer experience, leadership activities and awards)
      • Two Recommendation Letters 
      • Unofficial School Transcript (must include GPA and credits)

    Other Criteria: 

    • DIRECTOR APPROVAL
      Program director must sign the application (Email will be sent to program director for signature). Without it, the application will not be considered complete.  

    • INCOMPLETE/LATE APPLICATIONS
      Applications missing supporting documentation will not be considered. Applications submitted after February 28, 2025 will not be considered.

      It is the applicant's responsibility to notify the National HEP/CAMP Association of any changes in address or phone number during the selection and notification processes.
