M2K Music School – Terms & Conditions
Welcome to M2K Music School!
By taking lessons with us, you agree to follow the terms outlined below.
We’ve made these as clear and fair as possible to ensure lessons run smoothly for everyone.

1. Agreement
By enrolling in lessons with M2K Music School (“M2K”), located at 8 Barn Green, Bradmore, Wolverhampton, WV3 7AY, you enter into an Agreement with us.
By doing so, you agree to follow our policies, procedures and payment terms as described below.

2. Lesson Day & Time
Your lesson time is a regular weekly slot in our timetable.
We aim to keep this day and time consistent wherever possible.
If any changes are needed, we’ll let you know in advance.

3. Lesson Duration
Individual lessons last 30 or 60 minutes.
Group lessons (for guitar, bass, ukulele and beginner keyboard) run for 30 minutes.
If only one student attends a scheduled group lesson, they will receive a 20-minute 1-to-1 session unless they choose to pay the standard 1-to-1 rate.

4. Free Taster Lessons
We offer one free 15-minute taster for new students.
If a free taster is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, it becomes chargeable at the standard lesson rate.

5. Lesson Fees
You can pay for lessons:
Monthly by standing order (most cost-effective option), or
Weekly by cash or card.
Monthly payments take into account holidays and absences —
see Section 7: Holidays & Cancellations.
Current Fees
1-to-1 Tuition (All instruments & singing) 30 mins £77 Monthly (Standing Order) or £20 Weekly (Cash/Card)
1-to-1 Tuition 60 mins £154 Monthly (Standing Order) or £40 Weekly (Cash/Card)
Group Lessons (Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Beginner Keyboard) 30 mins £54 Monthly (Standing Order) or £14 Weekly (Cash/Card)
6. Late Payments
All fees must be paid by the due date.
If payments remain outstanding, M2K reserves the right to:
Charge daily interest on overdue amounts, and/or
Suspend lessons until the account is settled.
We always aim to resolve payment issues fairly and with understanding.

7. Holidays & Cancellations
Tuition is based on 46 teaching weeks per year.
The remaining 6 weeks are your holiday allowance, two of which are automatically used for M2K’s Christmas closure (2 weeks).
The other 4 weeks can be used for your own holidays, illness or absences.
M2K operates all year round and does not follow the school calendar.
Like other subscription services (e.g. gym or TV), lessons remain payable even if you miss a week outside your allowance.
Key Points:
Lessons are chargeable unless a holiday date has been booked with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Missed or same-day cancellations are fully chargeable.
Lessons that fall on bank holidays run as normal, unless you reschedule or use a holiday.
If your tutor is unavailable, we will arrange a cover teacher or catch-up lesson. If neither is possible, the missed lesson will be refunded or deducted from your next payment (for monthly-paying students).
Please note, M2K does not offer a “pause” or “freeze” option for lessons.

8. Catch-Up Lessons
Catch-up lessons may be offered when possible but cannot be guaranteed.
They depend on tutor availability and are provided at our discretion.
Frequent absences may not always be made up.
Catch-up lessons are not available for group students.
If a catch-up lesson is arranged and then missed or cancelled, it will be forfeited.

9. Extra Lessons
Extra lessons can be booked at any time by mutual agreement between you and your tutor, at the normal lesson rate.

10. Lesson Delays
If your lesson starts late due to your own delay, the missed time will not be extended.
Please aim to arrive a few minutes early.

11. Exams
We offer exam preparation through accredited boards:
London College of Music
ABRSM
Trinity College London
Rockschool
All are Ofqual-accredited, and higher grades earn UCAS points.
Exams are optional — you can learn purely for enjoyment if you prefer.
12. Lesson Termination (Notice)
To end your lessons, we require 4 weeks’ paid notice at any time.
Holidays, catch-ups or missed lessons cannot be used in place of notice payment.

This ensures we have a clear written record.

14. Behaviour Policy
We value respect, punctuality, kindness and professionalism.
All students are expected to:
Attend lessons regularly and on time
Be courteous and cooperative
Show respect to staff and other students
Threatening or abusive behaviour (from students, parents or guardians) will not be tolerated.
M2K reserves the right to terminate lessons immediately in such cases.
