Michigan Master Composter Workshop Series

This program is for anyone interested in keeping organic materials out of landfill. Learn how to turn your food scraps and yard waste into a valuable resource to keep soils healthy!

Master Composter Workshops are available to anyone interested in composting, but to receive certification through the Michigan Recyling Coalition, you must fullfill the following requirements:
- Attend all workshop events
- Pass a final exam
- Complete 10 hours of volunteer work
Master Composter Training Schedule
- February 11 - Introduction to Composting at the WELL Outreach Center
  - This event is in coordination with the Good Stewards Program
- March 8 - Composting Basics with Amy Freeman at the WELL Outreach Center
- May 3 - Vermicomposting Field Trip at 5 Hearts Earthworm Farm
  - $5 per person to attend, not including transportation
- June 14 - Soils and Compost Uses at WELL OUtreach Center
- July 12 - Closeout Potluck, Location TBD
