Completed applications must be submitted by June 1st, 11:59pm.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a Regular or Junior Member of any dairy breed association, or Son/Daughter of a Member.
2. The above stated membership must be currently in the province of Ontario.
3. Must have successfully completed at least the first year of a University/College program and be enrolled in the following year. Applicants may have finished their fourth year and be registered in an Agriculture Master's Program.
4. Must have submitted completed application no later than June 1st to the Ontario Dairy Youth Trust Fund. No applications will be accepted after this date.
5. No individual will be eligible for a second award.
6. Unsuccessful applicants may reapply as many times as eligible.
7. Must provide two names as references for the Committee to contact regarding information in the application.(4-H Volunteers, Employer, Teachers, Church, University professors, Organization leaders, friends). Include their names and your reason for choosing, as well as the person’s contact information (telephone, email)
8. Applications may be in point form or essay format. Please be specific in your explanations.
Awarding of Scholarships
Eight $1500 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled at a College or University, Degree, Diploma or Masters Program. In evaluating the applications, consideration will be given to education, farm or agricultural background, and involvement in community/university activities. Personal development, leadership, future goals and references will influence the selection committee’s choices in the event of a close decision.
