District Grants fund short term projects and activities, either local or international, that support The Rotary Foundation’s Mission and aeas of focus.

“District 6440 Grant Policies” outlines all requirements for a District Grant application. This document is found on the District 6440 website, listed under “Foundation”, under “District and Global Grants”. District Grants must also adhere to the following District requirements:
Grant applications are due JUNE 15, 2024
- Number of District Grants
- You may apply for a maximum of two (2) District Grants, which may be any combination of a Domestic District Grant, or an International District Grant.
- A separate application must be filed for each grant.
- The club President-Elect must have submitted Club Goals for 2024-25 for the Annual Fund, End Polio Now and Membership to Rotary Club Central no later than May 31,2024.
- The 2024-25 Club President, AND the 2024-25 Club President Elect or the 2024-25 Club Secretary must execute the Memorandum of Understanding.(MOU) no later than May 31,2024
- There is NO maximum District Grant amount. The Club must match the District Grant with cash.
- The club can have no open District Grant reports due.
- District Grant Final Project Reports must be filed within thirty (30) days of completion of the project or June 15, 2025.
- The club must maintain suitable records of all District Grant expenditures.
- The club must cooperate with all District sponsored audits.
- At least one club member must have attended the Grant Management Training Seminar February 3, 2024.
- Club members are encouraged to have active participation in the project, showing that they are engaged in the project. Exception: International District Grants, Scholarships, RYLA, Youth Exchange, and other Rotary sanctioned organizations such as Shelter Box.
- All applications are reviewed by the District Grant Committee for adhering to requirements and completenessfor grant to be accepted.
