Piping
· Event 1 Learner Practice Chanter – 1 x 2 parted simple time march (Restricted to learners not yet playing pipes)
· Event 2 Novice Grade – 2/4 March – minimum 2 parted tune (Restricted to first time competitors only)
· Event 3 D Grade PIOBAIREACHD (URLAR) (Music to be stated with entry.)
· Event 4 D Grade 2/4 March – minimum 2 parts.
· Event 5 D Grade Air – minimum 2 parted tune or 24 bars of music to be played
· Event 6 C Grade PIOBAIREACHD (One Tune to be stated with entry.)
· Event 7 C Grade 2/4 March – minimum 4 parts, one complete tune to be played
· Event 8 C Grade Strathspey & Reel – minimum 2 parted complete tunes to be played
· Event 9 B Grade PIOBAIREACHD (One tune to be stated with entry.)
· Event 10 B Grade 2/4 March – minimum 4 parted complete tunes
· Event 11 B Grade Strathspey & Reel – minimum 4 parted complete tunes
· Event 12 B Grade Hornpipe & Jig – minimum 4 parted complete tunes to be played
· Event 13 A Grade PIOBAIREACHD (Three tunes to be stated with entry)
· Event 14 A Grade 2/4 March, Strathspey & Reel – minimum 4 parted complete tunes to be played (2 sets to be submitted to the adjudicator for selection on the day)
· Event 15 A Grade Hornpipe & Jig - minimum 4 parted complete tunes to be played (2 sets to be submitted to the adjudicator for selection on the day)
· Event 16 Veterans March – 2 x compound time marches – minimum 4 parted complete tunes (competitors to be 55 or over)

· Event 17 Learner Practice Pad 2 parts simple time march (restricted to learners not yet playing on a drum)

· Event 38 Open Grade Hornpipe & Jig (minimum 4 parted complete tunes to be played)
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. The contest will operate in accordance with PBA Inc rules in force on the day of contest. Competition is open only to financial members of PBA Inc or its overseas affiliates. This event is organised by Pipe Bands NSW-the NSW branch of Pipe Bands Australia (Inc in Victoria)
2. Entries close Saturday 29th of June. Late entries may not be accepted due to the very limited timelines.
3. Competitors may enter their own registered grade and one grade higher only.
4. In all events there must be 2 entrants or no contest
5. Two entries 1st prize only, three entries 1st & 2nd prizes only, four or more entries 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes will be awarded.
6. If heats are required, the first 3 place getters in each heat will advance to the final.
7. All competitors compete at their own risk and indemnify Pipe Bands NSW, its servants, agents, and volunteers against all claims arising from travel to and from and attendance at this event.
8. Contestants acknowledge and agree that photographic images, video and audio recordings of their performances may be published under the fair dealings provisions of current Australian and foreign copyright laws. These relate to comment, analysis, and news reporting.
9. The organisers reserve the right to reject any entry, curtail, postpone, cancel or combine any event or otherwise deal with the program as they deem necessary in light of entry numbers.
10. PRIVACY: We do not share your personal information with any third party. We use your information only as appropriate to the fulfilment of the charter objectives of Pipe Bands Australia and in strict accordance with Federal and State Privacy law.
11. No entry is complete without payment. No exceptions please.
12. Prize schedule will be announced before the contest.
13. The draw will be released as early as possible after the close of entry.
