MDFRA Level 4 Expression of Interest

**Please note the online training is a prerequisite for this course. Your place in the course in not guaranteed until you've completed your online training.
Level 4 Referee Course
This course is for participants aged 14 years or older.

Successful completion allows you to referee matches from Under 13 through to All Age. Please note that there are age-based restrictions on which matches you may officiate in the middle.

Pre-Requisites – Online Training (Mandatory)
To participate in the Level 4 course, all online pre-work must be completed via etrainu before attending the in-person session.

Please follow the steps below carefully to avoid delays or removal from the course.

Step 1: Learner Registration (PlayFootball)
Register for the “Learner Registration - Referee” package on PlayFootball.
This registration provides access to etrainu.

⏳ Approval can take up to 48 hours.

Working With Children (WWC) – Under 18s Only
When completing your Learner registration, follow these steps exactly:
1. Select “No, I don’t have a WWC”
2. Tick “Apply exemption from document upload”
3. Select WWC Exemption Type: Other exemption
4. In Reason / Source, enter “minor”
  ⚠️ Missing this step will delay approval.
Step 2: Laws of the Game (etrainu)
Complete the Online Laws of the Game course in etrainu.

📍 Location in etrainu:
Training Library → Referee Community → Laws of the Game

✅ This course must be completed before you can enrol in the Junior Football Match Official Course.

Step 3: Junior Football Match Official (JFMO) – Online Modules
Complete the Junior Football Match Official online course on etrainu.

This course consists of four modules:
- Match Control
- Positioning & Movement
- Technical Concepts
- Game Management
All modules must be completed.

Step 4: Enrol in the Practical Course
Once all online training is complete:
1. Go to Training Events in etrainu
2. Search for the course by date using the calendar
3. Use the Member Associations filter and select
  Macarthur District Football Referee Association
4. Enrol in the course and complete the payment for $33

Failure to complete all required pre-work before the cut-off time may result in removal from the scheduled course.
