Adopt a dog today, don't wait. It's our goal to find loving homes for these dogs that have, in many cases, had traumatic and uncertain lives to this point in time. Our screening process is rigorous so that we can make sure that when you adopt a dog from us, it's a great match for both dog and owner. Many pet adoption websites take the minimum information to rehome a dog, but that's not how we operate.

We pay attention to detail and operate with full transparency to ensure the best compatibility between a human and their fur baby. The application is thorough, but it's a breeze to complete.

The following conditions will be included in a contract that is required before adoption can take place

Adopter agrees the animal is to be a family companion and agrees to provide the pet with a safe home, adequate food, water, proper care, exercise, and most of all love and attention. The Adopter agrees not to violate any laws or ordinances with the adopted animal.
Adopter agrees to notify Soulmate Rescue IMMEDIATELY if the pet is lost, stolen, injured, or killed.
The pet is to always remain indoors unless in a safe, escape-proof enclosure with proper shelter from the elements (such as sun, rain, etc.).
Adopter agrees to have the pet examined by a licensed veterinarian at least once each year and provide all vaccinations and treatments, including dental care, to ensure good health. If euthanasia becomes necessary, the Adopter agrees to FIRST notify Soulmate Rescue and have it performed by a licensed veterinarian.
Adopter agrees to notify Soulmate Rescue of any change in address and/or phone number. Adopter agrees to keep microchip data current, including Soulmate Rescue as secondary contact.
If for any reason the Adopter is unable to keep this pet for its entire life, the Adopter MUST notify SOULMATE RESCUE before taking any other action.
If for whatever reason the Adopter is unable to keep this pet for its entire life, the Adopter MUST CONTACT SOULMATE RESCUE TO ARRANGE RETURNING THEIR DOG.
ADOPTER UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES NOT TO GIVE AWAY, SELL, OR DISPOSE OF THE DOG and may under no circumstances surrender to a shelter or different rescue organization without the written consent of Soulmate Rescue.
If for any reason , adopter can not continue to care for said animal, adopter agrees to

A) Continue to foster this dog until SOULMATE RESCUE is able to find another long term foster or adopter while sending content such as clear photos, videos and very specific updates on dog’s behavior and needs so that we can work fast to remove into a new dependable environment.

OR

B) Cover the cost of safely transporting the Rescue back to SOULMATE RESCUE
SOULMATE RESCUE has the right to take the dog back into the Rescue if the owner does not agree to and comply with terms and conditions and if we feel the animal is unsafe in the Adopter’s home.
