Hi Pro-Palestinian Humboldt Bay Community Members,
We, the Redwood Peace and Justice Coalition, seek to create a sister city to provide Palestine cultural exchange and medical aid, possibly an ambulance, that can help resist the genocide, and save lives.
An Arcata-Gaza sister city can provide medical and humanitarian aid, exchange culture, education and professional opportunities, information, and trade.
We presented the idea to council members last council meeting of Arcata creating a sister city with Gaza City, Gaza Strip, Palestine.
See the overwhelming public support of a sister city with Palestine expressed during the council meeting public comments in this video of the council meeting here, starting at time code 6 minutes and 5 seconds:

Boulder, Colorado has recently provided an ambulance to Palestine through their sister city and they are working to create a medical clinic.
If Boulder can do it, Arcata can too!

Arcata passed a Palestine ceasefire resolution in March 2024.
Now it's time the city puts its money where its mouth is and build a sister city with Palestine.
PLEASE SHARE THIS REQUEST WIDELY
Please share this email widely to all your contacts and on your social media for anyone who might have a commitment to resist the ongoing Israeli genocidal acts against the Palestinians.
Ask your contacts if they will support a sister city with Palestine, and if so, ask them if they will contact their Arcata city candidates and representatives.
We are working to create broad based local support for Palestine and show our elected officials how popular a sister city partnership with Palestine is.
We can do this by getting your favorite organization, religious society, or workplace to take a stand and call for an end to the blood shed in Palestine and join us in calling for a sister city that can bring much needed medical aid.
JOIN US AT THE FARMER’S MARKET
Come to our weekly Palestine Talking Corner at 12-2pm every Saturday at the Farmers Market on Arcata Plaza in the corner closest to Brio Cafe.
The Palestine Talking Corner is an opportunity to broaden the community dialogue on Palestine to find common ground and opportunities for collective action to end the illegal Israeli occupation and destruction of Palestine.
Sincerely,
Redwood Peace and Justice Coordinating Committee
