Eligibility Requirements:

1. Satisfactory scholastic record.

2. Leadership Potential.

3. Good character

4. Letter of acceptance to college (community colleges and technical insitutes will qualify)

5. Letters of recommendation (two)

 

The scholarship is awarded for one year; students may reapply for one renewal. To  be considered as a recipient of a scholarship, students must submit the following to Johnston County Farm Bureau by March 2, 2026:
 A college transcript verifying acceptable grades for the fall semester
 Verification of curriculum you are pursuing

Preference will be given but is not limited to:

 Johnston County Farm Bureau members
 Students enrolling in agriculture or agriculture related fields

 

Directions for Scholarship Applicant:
1. Please submit application electronically. All information supplied by you and your family is for use by the Johnston County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee and will be kept confidential.

2. Attach a recent photograph, SAT score, and official transcript of high school (and college, if applicable) academic record to date.

 

The next step is attaching two letters of recommendation: (reference to character.)

You will need two letters from two different people. Examples below.

-Ecclesiastical Leader (Bishop, Pastor, etc.)

- Mentor

- 4H Leader or a club advisor

-Educational Teacher.
