Our Scratch day is the perfect opportunity for artists, who are developing work for young people and their families, to test out new ideas and get meaningful feedback from a live audience. They are not a showcase for polished work, but a chance for artists to meet, share and discuss new work and receive feedback from those who the work is designed for.
This is part of our Family Fun Day and a great opportunity for artists creating work for this target audience to receive feedback and test out new ideas.
Participating artists should have a clear idea of what it is that they are testing, and how the work in progress event will help develop the work.
You will be offered a short technical rehearsal slot on the day and receive professional photographs and audience feedback.
We may be able to offer additional rehearsal time at MAST before the work in progress sharing, but this is not guaranteed. Please note that Studio 2 will be set up in an end-on configuration, with the standard Studio 2 lighting rig.
Due to limited tech rehearsal time, your performance should require only minimal tech (e.g. a few cues only).
Please note your work must be suitable for young people aged 3+ and their families.
Applications will close on Monday 6 May
