EAA 1093 is proud to offer scholarships to those seeking an aviation certification. A scholarship applicant is required to have a nomination from a current EAA 1093 member.
As you are aware, aviation is a fun and engaging industry, but it requires hard work and dedication. Depending on the certification that is being pursued, a time requirement of 5-20 hours per week and a significant investment of funds are necessary for success.
In addition to a member nomination, applicants are required to be at least 15 years old. Pilot applicants must have received at least three hours of flight instruction and hold at least a class three medical. All applicants are required to provide a monthly report to the scholarship coordinator, report progress to a membership meeting at least once every six months, and volunteer at least five hours at chapter events or activities within nine months of receiving a scholarship.
If you believe that you know someone seeking a certification in aviation who is responsible, dedicated, and hardworking whom you would like to nominate, please fill out the nomination form below.
