  • WHAT TYPE OF RIDER ARE YOU?

  • We want to make sure that your experience is most enjoyable and we consider matching the right horse to the rider as success-critical. Please tell us about your riding experience, ability and level of fitness when you complete your booking form.

If you are not sure of your riding ability, we recommend to lean more towards understatement rather than overstatement and drop down a level of riding experience when booking an experience.

In addition we do ask you to complete this questionnaire. Making this information available to us will be important to have the right horse for you.

  • RIDING LEVELS

  • BEGINNER

A rider with little or no experience who is unable to post the trot and does not canter.

    NOVICE

A rider with limited experience who can mount and dismount unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, is comfortable and in control at the walk, moderate length posting trots, and short canters. A rider who is confident and in control in all paces, but with limited experience riding unassisted, cantering or is not currently riding fit.

    INTERMEDIATE

A rider who is confident, with a firm seat and in control in all paces (including posting trots, two point canters and gallops) with lots of experience riding in alone or in a group in an arena.

    STRONG INTERMEDIATE AND/OR ADVANCED

An experienced rider who is comfortable and confident to walk, trot, canter and gallop across all terrain - alone or in a group.
