NOTE: Please be aware that ALL ENTRIES FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE!!!
The rules of this tournament apply to all entrants. Violations of these rules will warrant appropriate disciplinary actions by the tournament director. Any protests must be in writing within 15 minutes of final check-in, to be taken literally. Tournament director has the right to refuse entry to any person.
1. State, federal and local laws must be obeyed.
2. All participants are subject to a polygraph test. Failure to take and or pass such polygraph test will result in disqualification. Any person who has failed such polygraph test in connection with any fishing tournament for cheating will be disqualified.
3. Firearm are allowed by CHL Licensed carriers and law enforcement only.
4. Alcohol and narcotics will not be in possession of contestants during tournament unless medically subscribed
5. Courtesy, safe boating, sportsmanship and conservation must be displayed by all contestants. A U.S Coast Guard approved chest type PFD must be on and fastened anytime the combustion engine is in gear. All boats must meet U.S Coast Guard Standards. Jet drive, air cooled engines or air boats are not allowed. Outboard motors may not exceed boat manufactured rating, All boats must have a kill switch and must be attached to driver anytime the combustion engine is in gear.
6. All fishing must be done with artificial lures only. Pork is permitted. Only one rod and reel with not more than two separate lures with hooks may be used at a time by contestants. No trolling with combustion engines is allowed. All fish must be caught in legal and sporting manner during tournament hours on tournament lake. Contestants may note use any communication or video device for the sole purpose of catching bass during tournament hours. Tracking device inserted or attached to bass may not be used by any contestant during or before the tournament. Hole- sitting by contestants is not allowed.
7. No fishing is allowed within 25 yards of another tournamenft boat without mutual consent. No tube, bank or wade fishing Is allowed. Contestants may not leave the boat to ga1in access to fishing waters. All fishing must be done in waters accessible from main body of water.
8. Trailering to and from the weigh in during the tournament is not allowed, unless permitted by the Tournament Director for safety or emergency reasons. All fish must be flfom a previously inspected boat.
Scoring and Ties
: The limit is (5) fish per team.
: Only largemouth, spotted or smallmouth bass will be weighed.
: The pounds and ounces of each teams catch will determine the tournament standings.
: Culling must be done immediately upon catching of the sixth fish.
: The minimum official length will be 14 inches.
: A penalty of .5 pounds will be deducted from total weight for each short fish plus loss of small fish. : A penalty of .25 will be deducted from total weight for all dead fish.
: A team the presents more fish than the tournament limit will be disqualified.
: In case of a tie combing awards and dividing equally among tied teams will resolve positions.
: Competitors not at the official checkpoint by the designated time will be penalized 1 pound per minute deducted from the total weight. Any team more than 15 minutes late will be disqualified.
: Competitors must leave and return by boat.
: Contestants boats must remain in tournament water during event. In the event of mechanical breakdown there are two permitted methods of returning to check in. By remaining in the boat and being towed by water or by entering the boat of another competitor and returning. In the event of a breakdown contestant should immediately contact the tournament director.
: In the event of severe weather or location limitations, alternate take off and check in instructions will be given at registration or draw party at the sole discretion of the tournament director.
Upon entering contestants release The Texans Helping Others Organization and sponsors from all liability, accidents, loss and/or thefts. Contestants are responsible knowing and understanding the rules to this tournament.
