Thank you for taking the time to complete a reference for Camp Timberline! In an effort to properly evaluate this individual, please provide us with your honest evaluation of the applicant in light of our mission statement and work environment below:
Camp Timberline Mission Statement:
To reach and strengthen kids for Christ through sports and mountain adventure.
Work Environment:
Staff live and serve in a fully engaged camp environment with extensive work hours. They are the primary caretakers for youth and need to maintain a high level of energy, positivity, integrity, and endurance to complete 5-10 weeks of employment. The program and activities can be stretching for applicants and requires them to have a strong commitment to campers and the ministry of Camp Timberline. A high level of maturity, responsibility, teachability, and desire to grow are necessary. Staff are also expected to self-manage and promote good mental, emotional, and physical health in a team environment. This is not a program for those who might be struggling in any of these areas or those who are just looking for a change in their own personal lives. For the maturing man or woman who is looking to work with kids, this is an exceptional opportunity to serve.
