The Science Centre is a space where visitors of all ages can learn through play and discover ways to think like a scientist every day. If you want to share your love of amateur radio and develop your science communication skills, volunteering at the Science Centre could be a rewarding and enriching experience!
As an Amateur Radio Shack Volunteer, you will:
- Help visitors explore the world of amateur radio under the guidance of licensed operators.
- Facilitate hands-on visitor experiences using radio equipment to communicate with amateur radio operators around the world.
- Regularly work alongside fellow volunteers (whenever possible) for a collaborative, supportive experience.
To qualify, potential volunteers must:
- Commit to a consistent 4-hour shift at least twice a month (weekly commitment strongly preferred
- Possess an Amateur Radio Operator Certificate, Basic with Honours or Advanced Qualification.
